I want to post my Exchange piece to some archives, but my summary is too bland.  For the Exchange, it read:  Hermione attempts to bring Muggle appreciation to the staff at Hogwarts through Muggle literature.  I've never posted a poll before, but this seemed like the kind of thing a poll would be good for.[Poll #1802908]

I think the smackdown conveys some of the comedy of the story. But calling it a smackdown could give people the wrong impression.

I definitely think your second summary is the most tantalizing. May I suggest that you shorten it a tiny bit so that it's more like a teaser than a summary, per se. So that it's more like: Professor Severus Snape believes that Muggle culture has nothing to offer the wizarding world. Professor Hermione Granger sets out to prove him wrong. I mean, who wouldn't want to read that?

Adding The Lord of the Rings might be a beautiful bonus!

And let me just say again, for the record, how much I liked your piece!
